v2.0.0
Custom Item Types
Firestop Locator now introduces the capability to track and document virtually any element within the floor plan by creating custom item types
An unrestricted number of item types can now be generated within a project
Item types are specific to each project, and a dedicated panel on the project page allows users to view the item types associated with that project
The option to duplicate item types within the same project or across different projects is now available
Duplication of item types includes any custom item and inspection fields within that item type
During duplication, users can modify the name and letter code for the new item type, ensuring flexibility
The name of an Item type and its letter code (used in the stamp icon) must be unique within a project
Formerly standard item types such as Penetration, Joint, Door, Damper, Barrier, and Extinguisher are now treated as custom item types, automatically generated with each project
This alteration grants users the freedom to eliminate standard item types or customize them as desired within a project and includes the addition of custom fields
The creation and modification of item types is currently exclusive to the web version of Firestop Locator
When creating a custom item type, the following information can be customized
Name
Letter code (two characters that are used in the dynamically created stamp icon)
Standard fields (selected fields to be shown or hidden for the item type)
Location Barcode
Room
Installation Date
Weight
Sealing Method
Firestop System
Inspection Frequency
Notes
Custom Fields
Firestop Locator users can now create custom fields within both item and inspection forms
Unlimited custom fields can be produced within the item and inspection forms
Custom fields are created and updated within the item type page
The option to duplicate custom fields within the same item type, project, or across different projects is now available
Custom field names do not have to be unique to an item type
Although standard fields are not open to customization, they can be hidden for an item type, with corresponding custom fields created to serve similar purposes
Similar to item types, the creation and modification of custom fields are exclusive to the web version of Firestop Locator
When creating a custom field, the following information can be customized
Form (item or inspection)
Title - The name of the field
Required - Force the field to be filled out to save the item
Type
Text - A text field with a max of 255 characters
